We thought that the good old Carrera 3.2 engine was ripe for careful modernization. We cleaned up the combustion chamber, simplified the gas exchange a bit, stole the ignition from the 993 and the engine control unit from the 997 GT3 Cup. Oh, and we topped it off with a complete exhaust system and a sporty air filter. We have thus achieved a performance curve that is higher than that of the 231 hp engine from idle speed, so we can start off nice and powerful and go through the rev range with around 275 hp peak performance. The modern engine management gives us a snappy response that the production version would rather not be compared to.

This makes our Carrera 3.2 Plus engine significantly sportier AND more comfortable than the standard engine. Sounds funny, but that's how it is.
