Tensioner Sprocket Lever Upgrade for Timing Chain Tensioners 911 to 1979

"Well, that nonsense, that's another regulars' table story..." grumbles Manfred Rugen from Rugen Motoren, when asked about the timing chain tensioner that fails oh so often in classic 911s.

The chain tensioner was not the only cause of damage to the 911 camshaft drive: In fact, in most cases it was the underdimensioned surface of the sprocket lever on its bearing journal that tended to seize and thus rendered it non-functional, which then... Well, to shorten the causal chain a bit, the result was catastrophic engine failure.

For this reason, the sprocket lever was updated for model year 1980, which now featured a wider bearing and a bronze bushing.
With the update, the status of the early lever is modified so that it has the properties of the later one.

Ideal as part of a chain tensioner upgrade to 930 or Carrera spec.

In exchange for usable levers. Delivery takes place upon receipt of exchange parts. Scope of delivery includes one sprocket lever left and one right.
